Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus update in China brings May security patch and Transit service support for Samsung Pay

Samsung Galaxy S8

Samsung is rolling out a new update to its Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ users in China which installs the monthly security patch.

The update is arriving with the build G9500ZCU1AQEE and G9550ZCU1AQEE for the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ and brings along a new feature alongside the security patch.

Speaking of which, Chinese Galaxy S8 and S8+ users (in Beijing/Shanghai) will now get support for Transit service via Samsung Pay. Samsung Pay app contains all the details for the Transit Service schedule just in case you are wondering.

As mentioned earlier, you will also get the May security patch which further enhances the security of both the handsets in addition to fixing bugs and performance improvements (of course).

As usual, make sure to backup your data before you begin the installation process. A backup always comes in handy should things go south. Also, install the update only after switching to a Wi-Fi network to avoid additional data charges.
