A couple of days ago we had told you about two new 7-inch devices from Samsung – GT-N5100/GT-N5110 which  were up for DLNA certification. Inferences drawn at that time was that these were Galaxy Note devices, based on the model numbering pattern, and that Samsung was probably looking to position these devices in the 7-8 inch space. While the actual name for these devices is yet unconfirmed, it appeared that one of these is a WiFi only device, with the other having WiFi + 3G capability. Other than that no other information could be determined.

A leaked UAProf (User Agent Profile) of the GT-N5100, has now surfaced on Blue Ringer Men, which seems to throw up some additional details on the GT-5100 device. The rumored Galaxy Note 7, or 7.7 ? GT-5100 seems to be sporting a WXGA display with a 1280 x 800 pixels resolution. Considering full-HD displays that are cropping up in leaked reports as well as in confirmed announcements for devices like the HTC J Butterfly, Verizon Droid DNA and the Oppo Finder 5, WXGA seems a bit dated now for a new device, especially coming from Samsung who have been pioneers in display tech. But anyway, that’s a discussion for another day.

The OS seems to be most certainly Android, but there is no visibility on whether it is Android 4.1, or the latest flavor Android 4.2 which is coming with recently announced devices like the Nexus 4 and the Nexus 10.

All we can say at this point is that the market for well-made and well presented Android devices is huge, irrespective of the size of the device, and if Samsung is upto a couple of new Note devices, they sure as hell will be interesting, and we will keep you posted as soon as we find out more.
