Samsung has released a new software update for the Galaxy J7 Neo and is being rolled out to users right now. This is a minor update, nevertheless, we recommend you install it as soon as you get it.
The build number for the update is J701MUBU1AQJ2 and it is available as an OTA. The update installs the October Android security patch on the Galaxy J7 Neo. The J7 Neo is a mid-range smartphone that’s sold in Latin America and was released earlier this year. So, it’s a fairly new device.
The Galaxy J7 Neo features a 5.5-inch display with a 720p resolution. It packs a Samsung Exynos 7870 octa-core chipset with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage. There’s a 13MP camera at the back, and a 5MP front shooter with flash. A 3000 mAh battery keeps everything going and software wise, it runs Android 7.0 Nougat.

Before installing the new update, make sure your device has more than 50 percent charge and is connected to a stable Wi-Fi network. Samsung is yet to release the Android Oreo update for its flagship S8 series and the S7/S7 Edge. According to the most recent report, the beta version could be released as soon as tomorrow.
