Samsung is rolling out a new software update to its recently released Galaxy J7 2017, Galaxy J5 2017, and the Galaxy J1 Mini Prime.
The update installs the July security patch on all the three handsets and is arriving with the following build numbers:
- Samsung Galaxy J7 2017: J730FXXU1AQG1
- Samsung Galaxy J5 2017: J530FXWU1AQF5
- Samsung Galaxy J1 Mini Prime: J106BUBU0AQG1
Since it’s a regular security patch, it shouldn’t weigh much. But again, we would recommend you rather download the update over a stable Wi-Fi network to save yourself from unnecessary data charges.
With the July security patch installed on the said phones, the overall security should be enhanced further. And, bugs existing in the previous build should also have been fixed.

Samsung is rolling out the update over-the-air which means you will automatically receive a notification asking if you want to download and install the update.
In case the update fails to hit your device or if you feel it is a bit delayed, you can head to Settings > About device > Software updates in order to check for the update manually.
