The Samsung Galaxy C7 and C7 Pro will be releasing early in January 2017. And as per the leaked Galaxy C7 Pro specs, the device seems pretty good to sport even for the power Android users.
But if you’re someone like us, you’d probably want to check for Galaxy C7 and C7 Pro’s root compatibility before making your mind for purchasing it.
Well, as it has always been the case with Samsung’s Android devices, you can root or install custom recovery images on a Samsung phone as long as it’s shipping bootloader unlocked. So if you’re purchasing an international variant or a developer edition, you’ll get a bootloader unlocked device out of the box.
However, you’re getting Galaxy C7 or C7 Pro from either AT&T, Verizon or other similar carriers around the world which deliver devices with locked bootloader only, the getting root access won’t be possible.
Rooting Galaxy C7 or C7 Pro will require a custom recovery like TWRP first. And once it’s available for download, you can simply install TWRP using Odin on your bootloader unlocked device.
We’ll be sure to update this post as and when a working build of TWRP recovery is available for the Galaxy C7 and C7 Pro devices. Stay tuned..
