Samsung’s upper mid-range smartphone Galaxy C7 2017 has been under the rumor radar for quite some time now. It has also received the necessary certifications from TENAA, Bluetooth SIG and WiFi Alliance, which led us to believe that its release is just round the corner. Well, the latest Geekbench listing does confirm this.
Samsung Galaxy C7 2017 has stopped by benchmarking site Geekbench where we get to have a look at some of the specifications of the device. Now it’s not that we are oblivious to what Samsung plans to incorporate in this mid-range phone. But Geekbench confirms the stuff we already know.

As per the listing, Galaxy C7 2017 will run Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS. And surprisingly, the device will receive fuel from an octa-core MT6757 processor, more popularly known as Helio P20, clocked at 1.69Ghz. Surprising because past reports have pointed towards either a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset or Samsung’s in-house Exynos 7872 SoC. Clearly, Samsung preferred to stick with MediaTek.
The Geekbench listing shows a 3GB RAM for Galaxy C7 2017 which should be paired with 32GB memory. Past rumor has it that the phone will also come in 4GB/64GB variant.

According to the TENAA listing, the Galaxy C7 2017 will feature 5.5-inch FHD display with a resolution of 1080 × 1920 pixels. The most interesting feature of the phone is going to be its rear dual cameras of 13MP + 5MP resolution, which has been confirmed by TENAA. This will be paired with a 16MP selfie camera.
