Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy Alpha smartphones in Europe will be receiving the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update soon. This has been revealed by the South Korean tech giant’s French arm via an official tweet.

It has been claimed that the roll out of the Android 5.1.1 update will different between the regions depending on the carrier testing.

In the meantime, the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update is rolling out to the latest flagship smartphone duo from Samsung, the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. We have already seen a leaked video preview of the Android 5.1.1 update on the Galaxy S6.

As of now, this update is making its way to the T-Mobile and US Cellular specific Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge in the U.S. The Galaxy S6 units in France and Galaxy S6 Edge specific to U.K. are also receiving the Android 5.1.1 update.
