Well, we’re left to wonder whether a Galaxy Ace 2 CM14 build is already under testing stage? We just spotted the device rocking the Android 7.0 Nougat update on Geekbench (yes, where else?).
Look at the screenshot of this, as a proof. Sadly, Geekbench pic doesn’t tells us anything more than that, so we couldn’t know for sure whether it’s a CM14 custom ROM in the making, or a simple AOSP ROM.
In case you are wondering why this has to be a custom ROM job, and not the Samsung’s official update, well, know that there won’t be an official update from Samsung for the device as it’s quite old now — more than 2 years means no Android OS version upgrade via update anymore!
Either way, we’d be glad to see it happening. Let’s wait for the Galaxy Ace 2 Nougat custom ROM, it shouldn’t be far away.
Meanwhile, do check out our comprehensive CyanogenMod 14 ROM page, where we’re providing the the development pages for your reference, and have included all ROMs based on Android 7.0, whether that be AOSP or some other.
