Galaxy A9 Pro now available in Malaysia

Samsung just took the wraps off Galaxy A9 Pro (model no. SM-A910F, you know!) in Malaysia. The A9 series can be pretty confusing as there was another Galaxy A9 launched in 2016, which was last year’s A9 (SM-A9000) with dual-SIM capability.

The new A9 should be making it to other markets soon, and most probably, Asian markets will get it before it touches down on European soil. As regards US release, that seems doubtful.

The A9 is a pretty solid option when it comes to specs. Featuring a big 6.0″ Super Amoled FHD display, the device rocks an octa-core processor with 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage, expandable by up to 128 GB microSD card.

The cameras on A9 Pro — 16MP and 8MP at rear and front respectively — feature impressive aperture of f/1.9. Yes, the front camera can detect your palm gesture and click a wide selfie pic effortlessly.

The new Galaxy A9 Pro also supports dual nano SIMs, and there is support for quick charging too this time around. The USB tech is still 2.0, and there is not type C yet, which could make its first appearance on Samsung devices with Note 7.

More importantly, the A9 Pro 2016 already runs on Android 6.0.1, and would come  three colors: Gold, White and Black. The A9 Pro measures in at 161.7 x 80.9 x 7.9 and weighs about 210 grams. That’s heavy, and not much suitable for one use, but you can’t complain about that when you are looking to buy a phablet.

And did we tell you the battery capacity of A9 Pro is whopping 5000mAh? No, there you have it. Lastly, for what it’s worth, you can use two WhatsApp accounts on the app!

BTW, the A9 Pro firmware were leaked earlier already, and if you planning to buy the device and love playing with root, etc. stuff, we recommend you download the firmware already.
