galaxy a7 2016 update

Samsung is now seeding a new software update for the older Galaxy A7 variant. The update includes the latest security patch for Android, and is therefore, a recommended install.

If you’ve got a Galaxy A7 2016 variant, then you should be seeing a notification for a new software update. The update build is A710MUBU2CQJ1 and it is being delivered over the air. The download may not be available right away and could take up to a few days to arrive for all.

As mentioned in the beginning, this new update will install the latest October Android security patch on your smartphone. Apart from that, the update will also include general bug fixes and performance improvements.

We would definitely recommend installing this update as soon as it appears for you. You can also check for it manually by heading to Settings > About phone > Software Updates. As always, make sure your device is fully charged and connected to a stable WiFi network, before downloading and installing the update.

Samsung will soon release the 2018 variant of the Galaxy A7. The device has appeared online several times and revealed its specs. The current Galaxy A7 still runs on Android Nougat and may not receive the Oreo update until June next year.
