Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7 2017 to feature 16MP front camera, not 12MP

Yesterday we told you that the Galaxy A5 (2017) and the Galaxy A7 (2017) would come with a 12MP front camera. Turns out, that was a false rumor. The new 2017 variants of the Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7 will both feature 16MP front cameras as per the latest leak.

Previous rumors had stated that both these devices would come with a 16MP front camera. So it was a bit odd when it was reported to have 12MP sensors. However, that’s not the case, as you can see from the screenshot above, which is supposedly legit. It is also a big step-up from the 5MP front cameras on the 2016 versions of the Galaxy A5 and A7.

The Galaxy A5 2017 is rumored to have a 5.2inch 1080p display with 2.5D curved glass, 3GB of RAM, a glass back, and more. It would most likely be released in January 2017. As for the Galaxy A7 2017, it would most likely feature a larger 5.7 inch display, an Exynos 7880 processor, 3GB RAM, and may cost around $430.

Both the smartphones are also supposed to be water and dust-proof, have an aluminium frame and feature USB Type-C connectors. We expect the 2017 Galaxy A5, A7 and also the A3 to be announced in the coming weeks.
