Fossil adds two new Android Wear 2.0 smartwatches to its Q line series

Fossil has added two new smartwatches to its arsenal- the Q Venture and Q Explorist. Both these unisex watches run Android Wear 2.0 and come with Fossil’s slimmest hybrid smartwatch case to date.

Featuring Fossil’s first ever full round touchscreen, the Android wearables will retail for $255-$275 and will be up for grabs in early fall this year.

With similar internal specs, the design is what really sets these two new smartwatches apart, other than the size. Larger of the two, the Q Explorist sports a 44 mm diameter display and 12.6 mm thick case while the Q Venture features a 42 mm display and 11.5 mm case. Also the former sports a rugged look while the latter has an aesthetic design with embedded gemstones.

Another design-wise difference between the two is the two programmable buttons on the right side of the the Q Explorist, which are missing in the Q Venture. But both of them have a digital crown on the right side of the wearable.

On the hardware front, both pack in Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor and 4GB of memory. Connectivity options include Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, but sadly GPS or NFC seems to be missing.
