Samsung has begun rolling out the One UI Beta update for Galaxy S9/S9+ users who registered for the update via the Samsung Members or Samsung+ application.
Currently, the update is being pushed out in batches which is almost always the case for beta updates. The new update is arriving via an OTA update and is available in the US and South Korea as of now while users in Germany might be receiving the beta update within a day or two.

Although the update is via OTA, there are a few users who are reporting experiencing ‘bootloops’ while trying to install the update on their Galaxy S9 device. Currently, there isn’t much information available as to why the device goes into a bootloop while trying to install the update.
Fixing the problem might take a while depending on your internet connection since you would have to download a few files.

Basically, you would have to use Samsung’s Odin software on your PC to flash the stable ROM again and then try updating to the One UI Beta. Flashing stock firmware on your Samsung Galaxy S9/S9+ can be a little tricky so we’d suggest checking out our article on how to install stock firmware on your Galaxy S9 device.
Once you have completed the process of flashing the Stock Firmware, you can then re-download the One UI beta update once again. If all goes well, the bootloop issue should be fixed and you would have the One UI update alongside Android 9 Pie installed on your Galaxy S9.
