Andy Rubin’s brainchild aka the Essential Products seems to have joined forces with Telus to bring the Essential Phone to Canada. Both the companies announced yesterday that the smartphone will be made available for purchase in Canada later this summer.
Telus has already started accepting pre-registrations with the pre-orders beginning late July. Despite the fact that the smartphone will be made available exclusively on Telus, users will get an unlocked variant and can opt for any carriers.
Also, potential buyers can purchase the Essential Phone outright by shelling out the full price which is not announced yet.

Andy Rubin was quoted saying “We selected Telus as our preferred carrier partner in Canada due to our strong alignment on the importance of continuous innovation and support for consumer choice. We look forward to delighting Canadians with our premium crafted materials and powerful components.”
Despite being the first product from the company, Essential Phone features top-of-the-line specs including Snapdragon 835 chipset, 4GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and a 5.71-inch near bezel-less edge-to-edge display.
