While the Android community is relishing the release of Android O Developer Preview for Nexus and Pixel devices, some S7 and S7 Edge UK variants are just receiving their Nougat updates. It’s something, right?

The firmware, provided under the moniker G935FXXU1DQCG, is currently rolling out as an OTA. While the full firmware is still not available, the situation could change soon enough after a handful of users get their hands on the update.

The Nougat update brings tons of features including a UI overhaul, native Multi-Window support, performance optimizations and miscellaneous bug fixes.
To check for your Nougat update, head over to Settings >> About device >> System updates. We also recommend our users to ensure that your device is sufficiently charged and is connected to a stable connection while downloading the OTA to prevent any unforeseen issues. Although we are fairly confident that the update will not wipe your data, it never harms to make a backup just in case.
