The T-Mobile Note 4 goes with model N910T, but as per the Bluetooth SIG listing T-Mobile Note 4 has had 3 revisions namely N910T, N910T2 and N910T3. These revisions could have minor hardware changes to fix issues that other variants had. In that sense, a N910T3 firmware may not be compatible with your original Note 4 N910T. But we can’t say for sure, you may try the firmware on your N910T variant at your own risk, and if you do, then let us know of the result in comments section below.
The T-Mobile Note 4 Android 5.1.1 update which we were hoping to come as a OTA in the next few days, following the Sprint Note 4 5.1.1 OTA from yesterday, has surprisingly arrived via Kies first with build number N910T3UVU1DOFC.
There’s no official announcement from either T-Mobile or Samsung yet, but we know this firmware N910T3UVU1DOFC is Android 5.1.1 for the T-Mobile Note 4. However, without an official changelog, we’d leave it to you people (who decide on flashing this firmware via Odin) to discover the changes.
The firmware originally appeared at Sammobile with model number “N910T3” which is pretty strange since the T-Mobile Note 4 carries the “N910T” model number. However, it’s clearly mentioned as a firmware for U.S.A T-Mobile variant which is reassuring again.
If you can hold your tempt, we’d recommend you to not try this firmware on your T-Mobile Note 4 for now. Wait for a few days to see what other users have to say about this.
Also, this T-Mobile Note 4 5.1.1 firmware would break root access and neither Cf-Auto-Root nor flashing SuperSU from TWRP would prove helpful to get root access on this. Only a custom kernel with root injected will get you root on 5.1.1, which might take a couple of days to develop.
All that said, if you’d still like to install this Android 5.1.1 firmware on your T-Mobile Note 4. Then just grab the firmware file from the download link below and flash it off via Odin.
