AT&T Galaxy S7, S7 Edge, Note 4 and Note 4 Edge update released with August security patch

AT&T is pushing August security patch update for four of its devices. While the two are last year’s Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, the other two receiving the August patch are the old Note 4 and Note 4 Edge.

The update arrives as version number G930AUCS4BQH1 for Galaxy S7 and G935AUCS4BQH1 for S7 Edge. Similarly, Note 4 and Note 4 Edge receive the update with version number N910AUCS2EQH1 and N915AUCS2DQH1 respectively.

As is the case with any security patch, the update takes care of various security vulnerabilities and brings along fixes to existing bugs. You can also expect performance and stability improvements from the update.

Before installing the update, ensure that your Samsung handset is at least 50 percent charged and connected to a Wi-Fi network to avoid extra data charges.
