Update [March 11, 2017]: Flyme 6 is not necessarily Android 7.0 Nougat it seems. Some of this Flyme 6 based ROMs run on Android 5.1 Lollipop and some on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. Meizu is yet to release Nougat update to a majority of its devices.
In December last year, we provided you with a list of Meizu devices that would be getting the Flyme 6 OS update. As promised, Meizu has finally released the new OS, in the form of public beta, for a lot of those devices.
Flyme 6 OS is based on Android 7.0 Nougat and has Meizu’s own skin, icons, and custom settings. We have already seen what the interface on the new OS looks like. Now, it’s time to download the open beta and try it out for yourself.
Below is the list of devices getting the Flyme 6 OS Nougat update. A total of 15 Meizu smartphones are getting the Nougat update today, and that is a good thing. Although this is a beta, anyone can download it and flash it.

If you own a device that is in the list, consider yourself lucky. The Flyme 6 OS includes a lot of new features, design changes, performance improvements, and optimizations. The entire change-log is available here.
Since this is a beta, you may encounter bugs and other problems. Users who have already installed the beta have noted that the update doesn’t support VoLTE. You can go back to Flyme 5 OS, if you do not find the update worthy of daily use.
