Android devices powered by Intel’s processor are really different at core level and that affects the apps coding a lot, too. For example, different libs are required by the apps that support Intel’s architecture, and thus developers have to work a bit extra to ensure the compatibility. Same goes for Google Apps, too, and if you flash an AOSP custom ROM like Cyanogenmod, then you need Google Apps again. Well, normal Android 5.1 Gapps won’t work for your Intel powered device, and hence you need to download and flash the Intel compatible 5.1 Gapps package given below. If you own a Asus Zenfone 2, 5, 6 or C, then you know how this works.
This Android 5.1 Gapps package includes minimal set of Google apps, as rest can be downloaded from the Play Store, of which v5.7.10 is packed into Gapps package. Other apps in the package include Google Search (4.8.12.19.x86) and Google play services (7.5.74). Download the Intel compatible Android 5.1 Gapps here, and flash it using a custom recovery like TWRP and CWM. Thank developer deadman96385 for this, you owe it to him!
