Location of the Wishing Wall in Mara’s Cipher
The Wishing Wall is located inside the Last Wish raid in the Dreaming City.
After launching the raid, proceed through the opening area instead of heading directly toward the first encounter. Follow the path into the secret section and wait for the large wall ahead to open. Continue forward until you reach the chamber containing the Wishing Wall puzzle.
The room contains a large grid of circular plates displaying different symbols. These symbols can be rotated by shooting the plates.
How the Mara’s Cipher solution works
For this Triumph, you simply need to enter a valid wish sequence and activate it. The sequence shown below is the one required for Mara’s Cipher and Ethereal Key acquisition.
The Wishing Wall consists of a 4-column by 5-row grid. Rotate the symbols until they match the pattern shown in the guide image. Use the reference image provided above to ensure every symbol matches exactly before activating the plate.

How to complete Mara’s Cipher Triumph in Destiny 2
Step 1
Launch the Last Wish raid from the Dreaming City destination.
Step 2
Travel through the opening section and follow the route toward the secret Wishing Wall chamber.

Stand in front of the wall and begin rotating symbols by shooting the circular plates.

Match every symbol to the Mara’s Cipher sequence shown above.
Step 5
Work on two circles at a time if needed. The plates have a slight delay when rotating, making this approach easier and more reliable.
Step 6
Double-check the entire wall before activation. Only after confirming the sequence is correct, step onto the central activation plate.
Important mistake to avoid
The most common error is stepping onto the center platform before finishing the pattern.
If you activate the plate while the sequence is incomplete or incorrect, the wall will reject the wish and you’ll need to start over. Always verify every symbol first, then activate the plate once.
