What to know

After the arrival of the Nine-related activities in Destiny 2, several triumphs require Guardians to locate hidden Corruptions inside existing Lost Sectors. The Ak-Baral, Nine-Touched triumph sends you into Veles Labyrinth, where you’ll need to uncover a hidden Corruption before defeating the final boss.

Reaching Veles Labyrinth
Start by traveling to the Cosmodrome and selecting the Skywatch landing zone. From there, make your way toward the Forgotten Shore area. The entrance to Veles Labyrinth is located inside a grounded boat structure.
When you arrive, enter the Lost Sector manually through the entrance.
Avoid activating the Lost Sector banner outside the entrance. Launching from the flag starts a more difficult version of the activity, which is unnecessary for obtaining this triumph. Simply walk inside through the standard entrance.
Once inside Veles Labyrinth, proceed through the opening sections until you encounter the first spell-locked barrier.
To continue, locate and shoot the wall button that disables the barrier. After passing through this first locked section, immediately turn around and look toward the nearby side passage.
Inside this area, you’ll find a glowing red Corruption node. Destroy it before progressing any further.
This is the critical step required for the triumph. If you skip this Corruption, defeating the boss later may not award progress.
After destroying the Corruption, continue deeper into the Lost Sector.
Veles Labyrinth contains multiple spell-locked doors. Each door requires finding and shooting a hidden wall button to remove the barrier.
As you advance, you’ll encounter numerous Hive enemies, including dangerous Exploding Thrall that can quickly overwhelm players in tight corridors.
Take your time clearing enemies and locating each button before moving to the next section.
Defeating Ak-Baral, Nine-Touched
Eventually you’ll reach the final arena.
Clear the enemies present in the room and wait for the boss to emerge through a portal. Once Ak-Baral, Nine-Touched appears, focus your fire and eliminate it.
As long as you previously destroyed the hidden Corruption and successfully defeat the boss, the triumph should complete.
The most important part of this triumph is destroying the hidden Corruption shortly after opening the first spell-locked section of Veles Labyrinth. Many players reach the boss without realizing this extra objective exists. Once the Corruption is destroyed, simply finish the Lost Sector and defeat Ak-Baral, Nine-Touched to earn triumph completion.
