The Android platform has a slew of third-party browsers and CyanogenMod is also joining the crowd. The new project that the firm is working on is Gello that is a browser based on Chromium’s open source code.
Though nothing much about this browser is known, we can gather some details from the 14 second teaser video that has been posted by a CyanogenMod team member. The video shows the interface and settings screens working at lighting fast speed.
The video shows a lot of features on the browser’s existing build. It is not known if these features will make their way to the public release for CyanogenMod ROMs, Cyanogen Inc. hardware, and other users.
The possible features of this Gello browser includes a “save for offline” reading mode, night mode, immersive mode, a customized interface with tab animations and management, download settings that let you rename the files and choose the file paths and extensive site-by-site privacy and security settings along with an ad blocker.
