Crimson Desert 1.13 – All Kliff and Oongka Armor Locations and Unlock Method

Kliff and Oongka now share much more armor value in update 1.13, so pieces that used to feel character-specific are worth collecting for both loadouts. This guide follows the timestamped routes for the 16 individual armor pieces, three headgear items, and five boss-style sets covered here.

The only major hold-offs are Dovan Try, Bounty Hunter, and Bullen. They are said to come from Bleed Bandits and bounty hunters, but they are not reliably obtainable from the available 1.13 route, so do not build your farming plan around them yet.

Armor paths covered in update 1.13

The fastest way to treat this update is as a checklist, not a single linear route. Some pieces are direct purchases, some come from Challenges and Sealed Abyss artifacts, and the biggest sets mix main story chapters with faction chains and back alley shops.

Patch 1.13 adds 39 Kliff and Oongka equipment pieces in the broader update pool, including five-piece boss sets, individual armors, headgear, and Kuku-related gear. The list below focuses on the routes with clear timestamp anchors and keeps the disputed drops separate.

Use these timestamps as quick anchors when you already know the piece you want. The order is grouped by purchase, challenge, quest, and boss-set route so you can farm shops first, then move into challenge and story requirements.

Shop and vendor armor locations

The purchase pieces are the easiest wins in 1.13 because they do not require maze solving or boss routes. Start with camp and city vendors, then check back alley shops once the relevant city is available.

Bobfett Plate Helm is the same headgear route described here as Bomb Vet Helmet in the timestamped list. The broader 1.13 notes place it at Stronghelm Forge in east Demeniss, matching the Demeniss helm-shop route.

Challenge armor locations

The challenge pieces are where 1.13 starts asking for specific activity clears. Martial Artist Garb and Vildyne armor come from Go-In or Goyen advice challenges tied to Sealed Abyss artifacts, while Basnet and Red Rider’s Plate Armor are maze rewards.

For Maze of Burham, follow the lights through the maze; this route appears to be Kliff-only in 1.13. For Maze of Dawnreach, use the Force Palm three-hit combo to push buildings, reveal the keys, and finish the maze for Red Rider’s Plate Armor.

Faction request and quest armor locations

Several individual pieces sit behind faction request chains, and two of them specifically use camp dispatch building requirements. Keep the request name in mind, because the armor is attached to the chain rather than a normal shop pickup.

The wider route names also connect Lonely Bomb Leather Armor with The Faceless and What Remains Beneath the Masks, while Stein Leather Armor is tied to the Hernand request line also written as Path Crossing the River. For Red Rider Plate Helm, clear the Demeniss request chain, then check the related equipment-shop availability if it does not land directly in your inventory.

Boss-style armor sets in patch 1.13

Knight of Carnage is the messiest set in 1.13. The plate armor and helm have clear routes, but the other pieces can fail to appear even after the related Demeniss missions and challenges are done. Check the Demeniss back alley vendor after clearing related content, because completed routes can place pieces there for purchase.

Unyielding Hero and The Ashen both stretch across multiple activity types. For Unyielding Hero, finish the Chapter 6 Traitor route for the plate armor, buy the helm from the Calphade back alley, then chase the three challenge pieces. For The Ashen, expect a longer faction path through Pailune, Leaf Tribe, and Old Odeck Tribe before the plate armor route opens.

Missing drops and route conflicts in 1.13

Dovan Try, Bounty Hunter, and Bullen are intended as enemy drops from Bleed Bandits and bounty hunters, but they are not part of a stable farm route in this 1.13 armor sweep. Farm them only as a side attempt while doing other work.

Knight of Carnage also has a reward-list problem in 1.13. The non-helm pieces may be tied to Demeniss faction content and challenges, yet they can be absent from the expected reward list until the game is patched or the exact trigger is surfaced in-game.

Next armor routes after these pieces

After collecting the pieces above, the best next targets are Damiane’s new armor paths, the full Ashen and Unyielding Hero cleanups, and the Kuku elemental or crafted plate routes. Those sit adjacent to this list but need their own focused pass because their faction, favor, and recipe requirements branch away from the Kliff and Oongka timestamp route.

If you are chasing long-term completion, keep notes on which shops update after main story chapters. Several pieces only make sense after their chapter, faction, or challenge flag is already cleared.
