Update [May 02, 2017]: The latest update that bumps the version to 2.7.0 introduces 8 different colors to personalize your “personal assistant” Cortana. Also, you can check your upcoming commitments in the upcoming view that gets an improved and optimized user interface. Further, the update lets you change the Cortana avatar position on the lock screen, in case it covered your keyboard while entering the PIN or while receiving incoming calls.
Update [March 27, 2017]: Microsoft has a lot to do if it wants Android users to switch from the built-in Google Assistant/Google Now AI to Cortana and looking at the recent updates of Cortana on Android, Cortana deserves a pat on the back.
The recent update of 2.6.0 brings many improvements to the Cortana that includes better and improved reminders and location trigger features. Not only that, the latest update also improves the positioning above the lock screen.

Alongside the said improvements, Cortana introduces a new view for a quick glance of your day. In case you didn’t know, Google Assistant is now available on all Marshmallow and Nougat devices and it also features a “Briefing about my day” feature.
Besides that, the latest update adds new buttons to create Reminders and Lists from Cortana home itself.
Though a product of Microsoft and earlier available for only Windows mobile devices, the personal Assistant, Cortana is available on Android devices as well, but hold your thoughts, it’s just available in few countries. The rest of the countries will have to do with its beta build.
