The West Incursion Zone is one of Control Resonant‘s major open areas, built around warped gravity, fractured streets and unusual traversal routes. If the objective telling you to find the subway station has left you unsure where to go, the key is to stop looking for a large subway sign and instead use the theatre as your landmark.
| Quick overview | Details |
|---|---|
| Area | West Incursion Zone |
| Objective | Find the subway station |
| Starting landmark | Winslow graffiti rooftop |
| Major landmark | EMPIRE building and theatre |
| Street-level landmark | Water tower and yellow taxi |
| Entrance | Green-lit stairs beside the theatre |
| What happens next | Enter the subway concourse and update the objective |
How to reach the subway station from the rooftop
The route is primarily a traversal section, so you don’t need to search every street in the area. From the rooftop containing the Winslow graffiti, face toward the neighbouring buildings and begin moving across the rooftops.
How to cross the rooftops
Step 1
From the rooftop near the Winslow graffiti, move toward the adjacent buildings. Jump across the rooftop gaps rather than trying to descend immediately to street level.
Floating Hiss enemies can appear around this route. You can avoid spending time fighting them if the path is clear, as the important part is reaching the next group of rooftops.

Step 2
Continue forward across the rooftops and use the building marked EMPIRE as your main navigation landmark.
The unusual architecture of the West Incursion Zone can make the direction of travel confusing, so keep the EMPIRE building in sight as you make the jumps. The zone deliberately uses distorted spaces and gravity anomalies to make conventional navigation less reliable.

Step 3
Once you’ve crossed the rooftops and reached the section around the water tower, look for a safe way to drop down.
You should land in the street-level parking area. You don’t need to continue searching the upper buildings once you’ve reached this point.

How to find the theatre and subway entrance
Step 4
At street level, head toward the yellow taxi.
Run past it and continue around the side of the theatre building. The theatre is the most important landmark for the final part of the route.

Step 5
Approach the front of the theatre.
You’ll see the theatre entrance with red carpeting and frozen Hiss figures around the area. This is the point where it’s particularly easy to run past the subway entrance without noticing it.
Step 6
Instead of entering the theatre, look beside the front entrance for a set of stairs illuminated by green lighting.

These stairs lead underground.
That’s the subway entrance you’re looking for.
Step 7
Walk down the green-lit staircase and continue into the subway concourse.
Once you enter the station, the objective updates and the game directs you into the newly accessible underground area.
Why the theatre is the important landmark
The theatre isn’t just a convenient visual marker. The West Incursion Zone Resonant sequence eventually takes you toward the Theatre Hall, where the Dancer Resonant is encountered. Current walkthrough information also places the West Incursion Zone Resonant progression around this theatre area.

The subway route can therefore feel confusing because several nearby objectives and traversal paths converge around the same part of the zone. If you’re already at the theatre, you are very close: look for the green stairs instead of continuing to search for another building.
Rewards and progression
This particular objective is primarily a navigation and progression step, rather than a standalone reward activity.
| Reward/progression | Details |
|---|---|
| Subway access | Enter the subway concourse |
| Objective progression | The objective updates after entering |
| Exploration | Access to the underground station |
| Upgrade opportunity | Health Upgrade Point can be found inside the station |
The broader West Incursion Zone progression also ties into the game’s traversal-focused Jesse quests. The Incursion Fault, for example, awards the Shift ability, which lets Dylan change gravitational planes and access previously unreachable routes.
The easiest way to find the subway station is to treat the theatre as your final landmark. Start at the Winslow graffiti rooftop, cross toward the EMPIRE building, drop down near the water tower, pass the yellow taxi and circle around to the theatre. Once you’re at the theatre entrance, the green-lit stairs beside the red-carpeted entrance are the subway entrance.
You don’t need to wander through the streets looking for a separate station building. Once you see those stairs, head down them to trigger the next stage of the objective.
