Cherry in Grow a Garden 2: Cost, Value, and How to Get It

Cherry is one of the new Legendary crops that showed up the day Grow a Garden 2 went live, and because the game is only a few days old, the numbers floating around it don’t all agree yet. Here’s what’s actually pinned down — what Cherry is, what it’s worth, and what’s still unconfirmed — so you don’t overpay or chase a stat that hasn’t been verified.

What Cherry actually is

Cherry is a crop in Grow a Garden 2 — not a pet, a gear item, or a location. It’s classed as Legendary rarity, it was added on June 12, 2026 (the game’s launch day), and it is currently obtainable from the Seed Shop. The single most useful thing about it is that it is multi-harvest: once it’s grown, you keep pulling fruit off the same plant instead of replanting, which is what makes a high-rarity seed worth the upfront cost.

In-game it looks like a blocky, round red sphere with a green twig on top — easy to recognize once it’s growing in a plot. On the value side, an unmutated Cherry sells for an average of 350 Sheckles, with a price-floor value of 316 Sheckles. Its weight comes in at a minimum of 1.05 kg, a price-floor weight of 1.42 kg, and an average of 1.50 kg. The growth timers — both plant growth time and fruit growth time — are not yet documented, so anyone quoting an exact “grows in X seconds” figure is guessing.

How much Cherry costs (and why the price is disputed)

This is the part to be careful with, because two different cost stories are circulating and they don’t line up:

• One set of early data lists Cherry as a Robux purchase: 479 Robux for 1x, 1,437 Robux for 3x, and 4,790 Robux for 10x.
• Another lists it as a Sheckles purchase at 1,200,000 Sheckles, appearing in the Seed Shop with only a 2.2% restock chance — meaning it’s rarely actually in stock.

Both can’t be confidently treated as the full picture. Either Cherry has two purchase routes (a paid Robux bundle and a rare Sheckles restock), or one of these figures is incomplete or out of date. Until the in-game Seed Shop UI is confirmed by your own eyes, treat the exact price as unverified — the rarity, the multi-harvest behavior, and the sell value are the parts that hold up across sources.

Check whether Cherry is in stock

As a rare Legendary, it may not be available on every restock — reports put its restock chance around 2.2%.

Decide your buy route

Expect either a Robux bundle (1x for 479 Robux) or a large Sheckles cost (around 1,200,000) — confirm which the shop shows you.

Plant it in an empty plot

Drop the seed and let it grow; exact growth time isn’t documented yet, so time it yourself.

Keep harvesting

Because Cherry is multi-harvest, don’t uproot it — return and collect repeatedly for ongoing Sheckles.

Protecting a high-value crop once night falls

Grow a Garden 2 added nighttime stealing and raiding, garden defenses, and a circular map built around that central shop hub. A Legendary crop like Cherry is exactly the kind of thing other players will target after dark, so a pricey seed is only worth it if you can keep the harvest. Position defensive plants or traps near your most valuable plots rather than leaving Cherry exposed on the edge of your garden. The exact best defensive layout is still being worked out by the community, but the principle holds: the more a crop sells for, the more it’s worth guarding.

Don’t confuse this with the original game’s Cherry

Progress, pets, crops, and coins from the first Grow a Garden do not carry over — Grow a Garden 2 is a standalone sequel with its own fresh seed list. That matters here because the old game also had a “Cherry,” but it was an Uncommon, unreleased, not-currently-obtainable crop with completely different values (a far higher average value and a roughly 11-minute growth time). Those numbers are not the Grow a Garden 2 Cherry. Likewise, older “Cherry Blossom” seed videos and early-2026 footage predate this launch and aren’t reliable evidence for how Cherry behaves now.
