How to Change Galaxy S7 / S7 Edge Performance Mode Setting on Nougat update

The Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge Nougat beta update is now rolling out to select users who registered for the beta program. And if for some reason you weren’t able to enter the beta program, the Galaxy S7 Nougat beta firmware is also available for download which you can flash via Odin.

Samsung’s Nougat update for Galaxy S7 and S7 edge comes with a whole new user interface and a few new features as well like the Performance mode. With the beta update, you can set performance mode on your S7 and S7 Edge in four different modes:

Galaxy S7 Performance Modes

  • Normal: Optimizes settings for everyday use.
  • Game: Enhances your gaming experience by making games run more smoothly.
  • Entertainment: Let’s you enjoy music and videos with ultra high quality sound and enhanced images.
  • High performance: Enables you to perform advanced tasks which require full performance from the device’ hardware.

How to Change Performance Mode on Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge

  1. Open Settings on your Galaxy S7.
  2. Tap on search icon, type Performance mode and select it from the search result.
  3. Once you’re performance mode screen, select the performance mode you want to select.
  4. You might get a confirmation pop-up with further optimization options, change the options if you need and then select the APPLY button.

Your Galaxy S7 / S7 Edge should be optimized now for the kind of performance you want from it.
