Sprint is rolling out a new update for its LG G4 in the form of software version LS991ZV6. The update aims to fix the Stagefright bug mainly, but that’s not all it got — apparently, it also updates some 3rd party apps that you always hated for they come pre-installed with the device.

Moreover, the changelog also says that there are some ‘UI and network enhancements’ in tow, meaning you could spot new icons at some places, while we can also hope for better network signal.

The LS991ZV6 update has already begun rolling out as an OTA, so if you own a Sprint LG G4, it should be hitting your device anytime now. It could take a few days under gradual rollout, but you can surely try your luck — go to Settings > About device > Software info > System updates, and tap on ‘check for update’ button.

If you ever rooted your LG G4, or installed TWRP on it, then you might need to unroot your device first, and have stock recovery back for successful installation of the OTA update.
