Budget-friendly Meizu M1 Note Mini gets specifications leaked!

Fans of the scheme wherein benchmark listings confirm the upcoming device’s specsheet, it’s your day! Right after both of the upcoming blockbuster devices, HTC One M9 and Samsung Galaxy S6, were found on Geekbench benchmark listing (here and here), rather odd Meizu M1 Note Mini has also been found out at GFX benchmark site, revealing its specifications.

We were in doubt about M1 Note Mini’s specifications and display size, which we thought will be 5″ in size, but it’s now confirmed to be actually 4.7″ with resolution of 1280 x 768 pixels. That’s slightly better than HD resolution, and quite nice for a 4.7 inch budget device.

We’d not be surprised if the M1 Note Mini doesn’t excite you, but for the specsheet it packs in, and the given price — expected to be 699 yuan, around $110 — it certainly does a great job. Especially when you compare it with Xiaomi Redmi 2, whose specs are nearly the same, but it costs $160 approx. And Mi Note Mini even looks better (be sure to check out the link below).

Other Meizu M1 Note Mini specs revealed in the listing include presence of 1.5GHz MediaTek MT6732 quad-core processor, with MALI-T760 GPU unit. Being a budget device, M1 Note Mini will sport a 1GB RAM and scanty 8GB internal storage. Yep, it’s been long time since we last heard about 1GB and 8GB when talking about upcoming phones, since even budget phones of today (at the segment’s upper end) feature 2GB RAM and 16GB storage, for example, the Yu Yureka.

If you look at the benchmark pic above, you’d find the storage listed as 4.9GB, that’s because of the system eating up from the actual internal storage of 8GB, but yes, that is the free storage you’d get to save your media and other files.

Lastly, there’s Android 4.4 KitKat that would come pre-installed on Meizu M1 Note Mini, while there will not be NFC chip installed inside, thus no Android beam and touching the phones together.

We expect the Meizu M1 Note Mini to release very soon as the company has an event scheduled for tomorrow, January 28, where it will make the M1 Note Mini all official.
