When LG last updated its bootloader unlock program, it was the LG V30 that gained a spot on the lineup that already consisted of the likes of LG G6 and LG V20. Today, we are here to report about another LG device that has just gained the ability to unlock the bootloader.

If you purchased the LG G7 ThinQ in Europe, you can now unlock the bootloader of your phone. This follows the company’s update to its Developer program that now means owners of the G7 ThinQ will be able to install Android mods like Magisk, TWRP, root, and so on.

The European LG G7 in question has model number LMG710EM which can now be bootloader unlocked through LG.

While the U.S. already has the G7 on sale, the unlocked model will arrive in July. It is only after it goes official that we can begin thinking about the arrival of the support for bootloader unlocking, but based on history, this support may arrive in August or thereafter.
