BLU Grand XL also receives FCC certification

BLU is working on a new phone which seemingly is the successor to last year’s Blu Grand mid-range budget phone. The BLU Grand XL has been spotted on US certification site FCC hinting that the company is getting prepared to release the device soon.

As the name suggests, the BLU Grand XL will be a premium variant of the BLU Grand phone. The FCC does throw light on the look of the phone by posting images of the same, it does not reveal any of its specifications. Thus, we are left all by ourselves to draw our own conclusions.

BLU Grand XL, being a premium variant of BLU Grand, will pack in comparatively upgraded specsheet. The BLU Grand was launched with a 5.5 inch HD display and 1GB RAM, 8 GB in-built storage with a microSD slot for expansion upto 64GB. It is powered by quad-core 1.3 GHz Mediatek MT6580 SoC and runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Other features include 8 MP rear camera and 5 MP selfie shooter both with LED flash and a 2500 mAh battery.

As per our guess, the XL version of the phone will have a larger display and expanded storage. The battery should also get an upgrade. Meanwhile, another BLU phone, the Studio J2, has also received FCC certification. It is a smaller variant of Blu Studio J5 and features a 2000mAH battery.
