Blu Studio J2 gets certified by FCC

Blu is working on expanding its Studio J series by releasing another smartphone in that line. A new Blu Studio J2 handset has been spotted on FCC hinting that its release is imminent.

The FCC certification, although does not reveal the specifications, show the phone from both sides as well as its battery. The Blu Studio J2 phone will be endowed with a 2000mAH battery which is a downgrade from the 2300mAH found on Blu Studio J5.

Blu seems to be targeting the super budget segment with this phone. A downgraded version of Studio J5, the new Blu phone is seen sporting a rear camera and a selfie camera in the FCC images. The phone is painted in Black color.

Our guess is that the Studio J5 display size will be maintained in the new Blu phone while the software and hardware will be downgraded to make it comparatively cheaper. The 1GB RAM and 8GB in-built storage capacity as seen on Studio J5 should be retained, while the expandable storage capacity may be reduced.

Meanwhile, last month Blu’s mid-range phone Pure XR got a $120 price cut in the US bringing its price down from $300 to $180. To check the deal, visit the link below.
