If you are looking for one more reason to start a second playthrough of Beast of Reincarnation, Kanzashi is arguably the biggest incentive. Unlike most of the game’s blades, this weapon is deliberately kept out of the first run and only becomes available once you have completed the story and entered New Game Plus.
The important thing to understand is that there is no hidden location for Kanzashi. You do not need to revisit a particular dungeon, search for a chest, or defeat a special enemy. Once you have completed the campaign and start your New Game Plus save, the sword is placed into your inventory automatically.

How to unlock Kanzashi in Beast of Reincarnation NG+
Step 1
Complete the main story and defeat the final boss.
Kanzashi cannot be obtained during your initial playthrough, regardless of how thoroughly you explore the world or how many other swords you collect. Your first objective is simply to reach the end of the story and defeat the final boss.

Step 2
Start the New Game Plus playthrough using your completed save.
After finishing the campaign, select the option to begin the new game. This is the critical point for obtaining Kanzashi. You do not need to create a completely unrelated new character or start another standard save; the weapon is tied specifically to beginning the post-completion New Game Plus run.

Step 3
Check your inventory once the New Game Plus run begins.
Kanzashi is automatically awarded when you begin the new game. There is no NPC interaction or pickup animation that you need to trigger manually. If you have completed the first playthrough and successfully entered New Game Plus, the sword should be available in your weapon inventory.

What makes Kanzashi different from other swords
Kanzashi has a base Attack value of 27, putting it alongside the game’s higher-damage blades. Its defining feature, however, is not simply its attack rating. The sword comes with an exclusive effect called Robes of Reincarnation.
The effect creates a rejuvenating light barrier that slowly restores Emma’s HP. At its base level, the effect lasts three seconds. Enhancing the sword increases the duration, with the +1, +2 and +3 upgrades extending the effect to 4.5, 6 and 7.5 seconds respectively.
| Enhancement | Attack increase | Robes of Reincarnation duration | Amber cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| Base | 27 | 3 seconds | — |
| +1 | +7 | 4.5 seconds | 1,000 |
| +2 | +8 | 6 seconds | 3,200 |
| +3 | +9 | 7.5 seconds | 5,800 |
The combination of high base damage and regeneration makes Kanzashi especially attractive during the more demanding second playthrough. It does not necessarily make every other sword obsolete, because Beast of Reincarnation gives its blades different combat effects that can be valuable in specific situations. Instead, Kanzashi’s major advantage is its survivability-oriented design.

That distinction is important when calling it the “ultimate sword.” Some other 27-Attack blades have effects focused on weakening enemies, poison, elemental buildup or other offensive advantages. Kanzashi stands out because it gives you a direct defensive benefit while maintaining the high Attack value expected from a strong endgame weapon.
Kanzashi is one of the clearest examples of Beast of Reincarnation using New Game Plus to give players a reason to return after completing the campaign. You do not need to hunt down another boss or complete a special quest—the only real requirement is finishing the first playthrough and starting the second one.

Its 27 Attack gives it a strong baseline, while Robes of Reincarnation adds something several other high-powered blades do not: sustained healing. Upgrade it to +3 and the healing barrier lasts 7.5 seconds, making it an especially useful choice when you want your New Game Plus build to prioritize endurance as well as damage.
