What to know
- The Blue Key is obtained during the “Toward the Nushi’s Lair” main quest in Chapter 1.

After defeating the first Nushi encounter in Beast of Reincarnation and reaching the large locked gate in the Abandoned Village/Subcity area, you’ll receive the Red Key from a nearby NPC. This also marks the locations of the remaining two keys—Blue and Yellow—on your map.

Where to find the Blue Key in Beast of Reincarnation
Blue Key Location in Beast of Reincarnation: Ogouchi Buffer Zone (Central Riverbank)
The Blue Key is usually the closest key objective after obtaining the Red Key, making it the easiest one to collect next.
Head toward the Blue Key objective marker on your map. As you approach the mountain, you’ll need to use Emma’s hair to climb the rocky ledges and reach the higher platform. Continue following the path upward until you reach a small camp or lookout area.
You’ll notice a purple glowing light on the ground. Interact with it to pick up the Blue Key, after which the objective will update automatically.

Travel to the Blue Key marker after receiving the Red Key.
Step 2
Climb the mountain using Emma’s hair traversal ability.
Step 3
Reach the small camp at the top. Interact with the purple glowing object to collect the Blue Key.
What is the Blue Key used for?
The Blue Key is not used by itself. Instead, it is one of three required keys needed to unlock the large sealed door blocking the path to the Nushi’s lair.
You must collect:

Once all three keys are in your inventory, return to the sealed gate where you received the Red Key. The door will unlock, allowing you to continue the main story into the next section of Chapter 1.
Tips before heading to the Blue Key
Although the Blue Key is relatively straightforward to obtain, make sure you’ve unlocked the climbing mechanic using Emma’s hair before attempting the ascent. Unlike the Yellow Key route, you won’t need to defeat a major elite enemy, making the Blue Key the quickest of the two optional objectives after the Red Key.
If you’re unsure which key to collect first, the Blue Key is generally the recommended second key because it’s closest to the initial objective and involves minimal combat. Once you’ve secured it, you can tackle the more difficult Yellow Key path before returning to unlock the story gate and continue your journey.
