AT&T has released a new software update for the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. The update is currently available as an OTA, and may take up to a few days to reach all users.

According to the change-log, the update installs the November Android security patch on your device. The build number of the update is N950USQS2BQK2 and it weighs about 157MB. Apart from installing the November security patch, the update also fixes the BlueBorne issue.

The software is still based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat and has the Samsung Experience 8.5 UI on top of it. The Oreo update for the Note 8 should arrive in Q1 2018, with Samsung Experience 9.0. There will be plenty of changes and new features in the Oreo update.

A similar update was released last week for the Verizon variant of the Note 8. However, that update also included the fix for the KRACK Wi-Fi vulnerability. This one doesn’t seem to include that.

Whatever the case, we recommend you install the update right away. Make sure your device has more than 50 percent charge and is connected to a Wi-Fi network.
