The most exciting Android update of the recent times, Android 5.0 Lollipop, is now finally making its way to the AT&T LG G3. LG shared the news with us last month saying the Lollipop update is coming soon to US, and it seems AT&T has taken the first step in bringing Lollipop goodness to LG G3 users in US.
In case you don’t know, the Android 5.0 Lollipop update comes with a host of new features and a completely refreshed user interface based on Material Design principals. However, you will not be seeing all of the new UI on your G3, thanks to LG’s custom skin. But you’ll get the new pull-down Quick settings, recent apps menu, multi-user profiles, guest user mode and many other new features of Android 5.0 Lollipop.
Also, you’ll get the new battery saver mode with the Lollipop update. Which is activated when your phone’s battery comes down to 15%, and turns off vibration, reduce performance, stop apps from running in the background, basically make your phone an under-performer to save battery juice.
Lollipop is a heavy update, so we strongly recommend you to download it over WiFi only. Also, keep the battery at-least 50% charged when installing the update, because the updating process might take some time.
The AT&T LG G3 Lollipop update version is Android 5.0.1, and it comes with Build number LRX21Y and Software version D85020f.
