AT&T Galaxy S6 Edge Plus and Note 5 gets December security patch, builds G928AUCS4CPL1 and N920AUCS4CPL1

AT&T has released two new minor updates for the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus and the Galaxy Note 5. These updates don’t bring any new features to the smartphones, but they do install the latest Android security patches.

Both updates are still based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, and install the December security patch. The build number for the S6 Edge Plus is G928AUCS4CPL1 and it just weighs 14.7MB.

The second update for the Galaxy Note 5 carries the build number N920AUCS4CPL1. This update weighs 17.4MB and is available right now over the air. Both the S6 Edge Plus and the Note 5 are yet to receive the Nougat update. You can check out our Lineage OS device page to check if an unofficial Nougat firmware becomes available for these devices.

Before you install any of these updates, make sure your smartphone is sufficiently charged and is on a strong WiFi or cellular network. AT&T had recently released similar security updates for the Galaxy S7 Active,  Galaxy S6 Active and the Galaxy S5 Active.
