AT&T Galaxy Note Edge also receives new update (OC7), not Android 5.1 though!

It’s a like for like update for the AT&T Note Edge, similar to the update its Note 4 cousin also received. While The new OC7 update is not Android 5.1.1 build you may be hoping for, it’s still an important update. The OC7 update brings the ‘Reactivation Lock’ and ‘Find My Mobile’ security features to the device — but if you are a flashaholic and love to flash custom ROMs, and have root access, be sure to avoid this update for now at least.

The OC7 update could be the base update for Android 5.1.1, which could arrive anytime now. Sprint’s Note Edge is already on 5.1.1, for instance and there was a Note 4 5.1 update leak too.

The OC5 update for AT&T Galaxy Note 4 is based on Android 5.0.1, sized around 202 MB and its full build no. is N915AUCU2BOC7. Do let us know what improvements do you see if you do install it on your AT&T Note 4.

About the Reactivation lock and Find my mobile features, well, once you have them after the update, be sure to disable the Find my mobile from Settings > Lock screen and security > Find my mobile if you want to use Odin to flash a firmware or TWRP recovery on your device. Because, odin flahs is blocked when you have that option enabled.
