Asus Zenfone Zoom S to release in Indonesia on May 16

The dual-camera yielding Asus Zenfone Zoom S, a.k.a Zenfone 3 Zoom, could soon be released onto the Indonesian soil. According to a new tip, Asus might launch the device in Indonesia on May 16.

Instead of calling it the Zenfone 3 Zoom, Asus has named it the Zenfone Zoom S in the country. The model number of the device is ZE553KL, in case you were confused, which is the same as the Zoom.

The Zenfone Zoom S features a 5.5-inch full HD display with Gorilla Glass 5, a Snapdragon 625 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 32/64/128GB of internal storage. A 5000mAh battery keeps the phone running. The main feature of this phone, is obviously the camera.

There are two 12MP Sony cameras at the back, one with f/1.7 aperture and a wide angle of view, and another telephoto lens providing 2.3x Optical zoom. A 13MP camera is available at the front for selfies. The price isn’t known yet and nor do we know where else it would be sold.

  1. great device from ASUS and the first new Zenfone this year after the updated zenfone 3 series, I have seen in many reviews that this phone has the best cameras ASUS ever made and on the paper it just shows how powerful it can be but other than that, despite being so powerful and slim , ASUS still manage to fit a humangus 5000mAh battery in it, that;s great to see!! one thing for sure with the most battery efficient SD625 and that huge battery, u can expect atleast 3 days of battery backup on moderate usage, but for the cameras this phone is priced very high, if only it had a SD821 the price would have been more justified, never the less great phone from ASUS!! let’s see when it comes to India..

  2. Asus had a good customer base once they released the zenfone series phpne simply because it was among the first few that came with good specs and camera at decent price…This phone seems to competition for the Moto E4 plus with the same pattern with the battery and the processor to extend life. The camera on the Zoom was really good especially when it was set to manual, lets see how it is on this one 😀
