Launch back in 2016, Asus Pegasus 3 didn’t gather much interest from users. In fact, Asus has already removed its listing from it store, but we’re there are some Pegasus 3 users who are looking forward to Nougat update from Asus for their device.

Launched with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow on-board, and with 3GB RAM, the Pegasus 3 would run Nougat OS without a fuss. But Asus release Android 7.0 build for Pegasus 3, that’s another question. And even if yes, then when.

Will Pegasus 3 gets Nougat update?

So, while we think the Asus Pegasus 3 would get Nougat update, given its release date and capable spec-sheet, we are not sure about its release.

Even though Asus has’t confirmed a release Pegasus 3 Nougat OTA, we would be very surprised if it’s pushed to Q3 2017, as this should really be happening within Q2 2017.

Expected Release Date: May-June 2017.

Asus Nougat update: Current status

Well, Asus has, till now, rolled out Android 7.0 update for its various Zenfone 3, including its variants ZenFone 3 Ultra and ZenFone 3 Deluxe. There was an issue with the ZenFone 3 Nougat build under first rollout, but it the distribution resumed on March 2 for good.

It’s pretty clear that Asus isn’t doing enough to impress with its work on software, as by now, we should be looking at ZenFone 3 sets with Android 7.1.1 installed, but it looks like we are no where near that.

Right now, Asus is busy pushing little updates to fix bugs and bring a feature or two to the Pegasus 3, as it recently released an OTA that brought intelligent power saving mode to the device.

What do you think of Asus? And its software update performance?
