Asus ZenFone Max update brings new power saving app

Asus has released a new software update for the ZenFone Max (ZC550KL), which is currently rolling out to users. The update is being delivered over the air, and can take up to a week to be available for all.

This new update mainly focuses on improving the battery life of the smartphone. Included in the update is a new power saving app called the ASUS Power Master. This app should, according to Asus, help improve the battery performance.

Apart from that, the update also updates several system apps. That’s about it. The version number of this update is 13.8.26.92. Before installing the update, make sure the smartphone has more than 50 percent charge and is connected to a stable WiFi network.
