Asus, the Taiwanese smartphone maker made really big splashes at the CES in Las Vegas with its Asus Zenfone 2 sporting the latest 64 bit Intel Atom quad core mobile processor. Although Asus did not mention about a variant for the Zenfone 2, there was a leak which showed a 5 inch Zenfone 2 variant.
Although it’s not really confirmed yet if it’ll be called “5 inch Zenfone 2”, but we have its specs and features. For now, we know that the device will be a mid ranger with $199 price tag and will feature an HD display of resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, include 2GB of RAM, Intel Atom processor and will run on Android 5.0 Lollipop with Zen UI and 4G LTE. Also, a source reported that a variant of it may also be powered by a Qualcomm processor.
The Asus Zenfone 2 will be available in Taiwan in a limited quantity from March 9th in red color. And will possibly be available in more colors from the 20th of March. We can gather from this leak that more things can be expected from Asus this year. With its LTE connectivity, the Asus Zenfone 2 variant will definitely clash with many new smartphone models in the marketplace like the Moto G and Yu Yureka in India. Since this leak isn’t official, the details could certainly vary a bit.
