As expected, Asus launched the ZenFone 2 smartphone lineup in India today. The Asus ZenFone 2 ZE551ML with 4 GB of RAM is priced at Rs 19,999 and Rs 22,999 for the 32 GB and 64 GB variants respectively. The ZenFone 2 ZE551ML with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of native memory capacity is priced at Rs 14,999 and the ZenFone 2 ZE550ML carries a price tag of Rs 12,999.
The low end model in the ZenFone 2 lineup called ZenFone 2 ZE500CL featuring a 5 inch HD display and the ZenFone 2 ZE551ML with 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of memory capacity will not be launched in India. The launched devices will be let out for pre-order exclusively via online retailer Flipkart from today itself.
The ZenFone 2 lineup of smartphones run on Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system topped with Zen UI and they are powered by Intel Atom SoCs. Let us take a look at the specifications of the ZenFone 2 smartphones below.
The ZenFone 2 ZE551ML makes use of a 64 bit 2.3 GHz quad core Intel Atom Z3580 processor teamed up with 4 GB of RAM. There is a 2 GB RAM model of this device that is equipped with a 1.8 GHz quad core Intel Atom Z3560 processor as the ZenFone 2 ZE550ML.
All these models support additional storage support up to 64 GB with the help of a micro SD card. The Asus ZenFone 2 ZE551ML boasts of a 5.5 inch full HD display on the 2 GB and 4 GB RAM variants. On the other hand, the ZenFone 2 ZE550ML has a 5.5 inch display with HD resolution.
