Asus ZenFone 6 has one of the most innovative camera designs featuring a motorized flip-up shooter that doubles up as both the main and selfie camera. But as with any other smartphone, the flip-up camera has some out-of-the-box imperfections that need to be ironed out with software updates.
In the latest update to the device, expect to come across such camera improvements in plenty alongside a few bug fixes here and there. The software version is 16.1210.1904.115 and is a target for model ZS630KL.
Looking at the changelog, ZenFone 6 users should enjoy improved image processing speed and quality when using Super Night Mode and HDR++, camera rotation stability, and optimized translation strings in the Settings.
The same update also adds volume key functions to the camera app, allowing users to control the flip-up camera rotation and use the key as Shutter or Zoom via the Camera settings menu. After the update, the smart key can also be used as shutter when in Camera mode.
Asus says this software also updates the default wallpaper and ringtone, enables VoLTE on Taiwan Mobile and KDDI/Docomo/SBM, and enables both VoLTE and VoWi-Fi for users of MTS.
