Remember Asus Zenfone C that we spotted last week? Well, Asus has now officially announced the device and it’s already available in Taiwan. The company has also announced a 9600 mAh portable charger for its growing base of smartphone users, the product is named ZenPower 9600.
Asus Zenfone C specs include Intel Atom Z2520 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz, 1GB RAM, 8GB internal storage, 4.5-inch TFT LED Backlight display (480 x 854), 2100 mAh battery, microSD card slot and 5MP/0.3MP camera setup. The device comes in several color choices including standard Black, Red and White.
The Zenfone C is clearly a super budget phone, and for the price it comes for ($95), the device competes directly with Android One devices by Google. However, Zenfone C packs a slightly larger 2100 mAh battery than the 1800 mAh battery found on Android One devices.
Another announcement in the tow is the new portable charger by Asus, ZenPower 9600, which as the name suggests, has the capacity of 9600 mAh. The charger, however, isn’t available for purchase yet, nor is its price is known.
