[aptX HD] Get Hi-Res Audio Codec for Bluetooth Streaming on any Android device with this MOD

Nothing is more beautiful than some peaceful time with your favorite songs on your headphones, or a bluetooth speaker that you can take away to a silent place and immerse.

The aptX HD MOD by xda developer androidexpert35 gets you a similar experience by bringing the power of Hi-Res Audio Codec for Bluetooth streaming (aptX™ HD) to your Android phone.

The MOD will work on any Android device which has the standard apt-X bluetooth audio code, which is available in most Android devices. Matterfact, around 2 billion devices in the world are aptX audio enabled.

However, you also need to have Bluetooth 4.1 on your Android phone for this MOD to work. So unless you’ve one of the recently launched Android phone in your hand, you won’t be able to get it working on your device.

And there’s more:

To ensure that the Hi-Res offload is working a device with Sony LDAC ( Sony Z3,Z5,X,XZ Series ) is preferred, as the bluetooth chip should be already able to output Hi-Res audio via Bluetooth. However the mod should work also on other devices.

To install the MOD on your Android phone, simply grab the recovery flashable zip file from the download link below and flash it using a custom recovery like TWRP.

To install the MOD, simply flash the zip file like you’d flash any other .zip file via TWRP recovery.

  1. Does not work for phones that can never be rooted. Go figure.
