Animal Hospital Dr. Harlow’s Office Unlock Steps, Route, and Secrets

Dr. Harlow’s Office is one of the biggest lore rooms in Animal Hospital, but it does not open just because you can reach the Supplies Shop. The route becomes usable only when the later Dr. Harlow event starts, turning the restricted door beside the shop into the path toward his office.

Once inside, the room is built around story rather than loot: personal clues, internal notes, research material, and reports that point toward Animal Corp, missing staff, and strange hospital supplies.

When Dr. Harlow’s Office becomes available

The Supplies Shop opens from Shift 3, but that only unlocks the shop area itself. The office route behind the No Access door becomes usable later, when the Dr. Harlow Event triggers.

That event starts after a few short lobby conversations involving Dr. Harlow and Animal Corp representatives, which set up the later escort sequence with the confidential boxes.

How to enter Dr. Harlow’s Office in Animal Hospital Anomaly

Follow Dr. Harlow’s escort event from the lobby into the restricted route beside the Supplies Shop.

Pick up the confidential box

Press E to pick up the box Dr. Harlow indicates in the lobby.

Follow Dr. Harlow to the Supplies Shop

Stay with him as he walks toward the Supplies Shop, which is available from Shift 3 onward.

Enter the access door on the right

Go through the right-side door with the access sign once the Dr. Harlow Event makes it usable.

Follow the corridor and turn left

Continue through the corridor, then turn left toward the restricted area.

Open the restricted door

Use the door marked Restricted to enter the larger hub beyond it.

Cross the bridge hub

Move through the large area with four bridges leading to separate rooms.

Choose the door marked Office

Look for the door labeled Office and go through it.

Place the box on the green desk marker

Put the box on the green highlighted area on Dr. Harlow’s desk to finish the delivery and open up the room.

The family picture sits on the right side of Dr. Harlow’s desk. At first glance it looks like a personal prop, but the damaged frame makes it feel deliberately placed rather than decorative.

The picture’s edges are burned in a way that hides Dr. Harlow and his wife, while the daughter’s face remains visible. The photo is one of the quieter but more unsettling details in the room, because it shows Harlow’s past being obscured while one family connection is left intact.

To-do list behind Dr. Harlow’s chair

The to-do list is on the table behind Dr. Harlow’s chair. Most of it looks like ordinary office clutter: processing Ron’s shipment, ordering more coffee, recounting patients in Wing B, and asking Ron to stop signing emails with Regards.

The suspicious entry is the one about feeding something in the supply closet. The note also says not to put it on the official schedule again, which shows that something alive, hidden, or highly irregular is being maintained outside normal hospital records.

Locked anomaly gene book on the right bookshelf

The locked book is on the bookshelf to the right of Dr. Harlow’s desk. Its title is On the Discovery and Nature of Anomaly Gene, and the author name shown is John Arthur Normally.

The hospital logo appears beneath the author’s name, tying the book directly back to the facility rather than making it random background reading. There is no available method to open the locked book right now, so inspect it as a lore object rather than a puzzle with a known solution.

Congratulatory letter beneath the desk

The congratulatory letter is hidden beneath the desk area, making it easier to miss than the items sitting on top of the office furniture. Its sender is redacted, but the formal tone shows Dr. Harlow is answering to someone above him.

The letter congratulates him on progress with his assignment and mentions a boss, reception actors, and making sure those actors are paid on time. That turns the hospital’s front-facing normalcy into something staged, or at least managed, by a larger organization.

Incident report about Awinji

The darkest office secret is the incident report on the shelf to the left of Dr. Harlow’s desk. It contains an interview with Ron, who describes hearing someone scream before seeing a creature grab Awinji, a former intern, from underneath a bed.

Ron says Awinji struggled, but the creature pulled him under the bed and then both disappeared. When Ron brought the incident to Dr. Harlow, Harlow told him not to worry and said the corporation would handle it.

The report gets worse because nobody asks about Awinji afterward. The interviewer eventually tells Ron they should forget about him and get a new intern, leaving Awinji’s fate unresolved and making the hospital’s internal response look colder than the incident itself.

Ron’s computer email on Dr. Harlow’s desk

The final major secret is on Dr. Harlow’s desk computer. Ron’s email says a shipment of raw supplies is arriving that night and asks Dr. Harlow to personally handle it.

Ron also says the supplies need to be processed quickly because the current stock will not last the week. The strangest part is that a staff member previously saw the unprocessed materials in the morning and noticed they looked different from how they had appeared the night before.

Golden Key interaction and Mint Tea confusion

The office’s special interaction is separate from the six inspectable secrets above. In the current Lore Expansion setup, Dr. Harlow’s extra interaction centers on Ratthew’s Golden Key, which you can give to him while he is seated in his office.

Mint Tea belongs to older office guidance. It still matters elsewhere as an item, but it is not the current office requirement for Dr. Harlow’s special interaction.

What Dr. Harlow’s Office reveals about the hospital

The office points to Dr. Harlow being connected to Animal Corp or another larger organization monitoring his work. The letter’s boss reference, the reception actors, and the paid-on-time detail all show that the hospital is not operating as a simple animal care facility.

The incident report makes the anomalies actively dangerous, not just strange. Awinji’s disappearance, Harlow’s calm corporate response, and the instruction to forget him make the hospital’s staff structure look disposable when something goes wrong.

The raw supplies email adds another thread: the hospital’s medicine or stock involves materials that change after being processed overnight. Combined with the locked anomaly gene book and the supply closet note, the office frames Dr. Harlow as someone studying, hiding, and maintaining the hospital’s anomalies at the same time.
