The new UI flavor from Samsung, the One UI, is expected somewhere in the middle January 2019 for the Galaxy S9, Galaxy S9+ and Galaxy Note 9 as these handsets are already in the beta program for One UI. But now it seems the Galaxy Note 8 is also in the fray for it.
The Android Pie update for the Galaxy Note 8 just leaked out on the web, carrying the software version N950USQU5DRL5.
The guys over XDA developers discovered the closed beta build of Samsung One UI for the Galaxy Note 8. However, it only works for Snapdragon version of the handset and not the Exynos version — at least for now.
The Note 8 Android Pie update is also available on download, BTW. Check the link below if you own a Snapdragon variant of the Galaxy Note 8 that comes as model no. SM-G950U.
The One UI brings the similar updates to the Note 8 as already to the Galaxy S9 series and Note 9. It ensures a revamped design which is meant for seamless one-handed use, a system-wide dark mode, and best gestures to support Google Assistant. Alongside, the build also brings December Security patch.
