Huawei, as part of its EMUI 9.0 beta programme, has already rolled out its Android Pie beta 2 updates to some of its devices. The company first come up with the rolled out its beta program in China and which was then followed by other countries.

India may soon join the list where EMUI 9.0 update is available, as we just spotted an OTA update on the Huawei’s official HiCloud server that is identified by software version 9.0.0.301 and is compatible with custom version C675 of the Huawei P20 Pro, which is a variant sold in the country.

The P20 Pro’s codename is CLT, which is a short form for Columbia, the model seen in the changelog file. The listed model no. AL10I is odd, because the retail version comes as AL00. So, maybe this is just a test build meant for a test device, but because of this, we can be sure that the beta/stable release is only nearer.

Although considering the fact that it is still a beta experience, so there might be some performance issues expected in the device, however, which will continue until the rollout of a stable beta.

The odd thing is that we haven’t heard about the launch of the beta program in India yet, so maybe that will change soon not that an Android Pie build is available on Huawei’s servers.

Huawei is expected to roll out the stable version of its Android Pie update with EMUI 9.0 atop on October 16 — although that may be limited only to China.
