The LG V30 has already started to receive the Android 8.0 Oreo in Korea. And soon enough, the LG G6 will follow suit. However, new leaked screenshots have confirmed that LG is testing the Oreo beta software on the G6 smartphone.
As you can see in the screenshots above, the model number indicates that it is indeed the LG G6 and the Android OS version is 8.0. These screenshots were shared in a Chinese forum. LG has probably started testing the software within a limited group of people.
LG Android Oreo update release date
You can see new features such as App shortcuts, notification snooze, newer app icons, and a lot more that will be a part of Oreo update. This is the beta though, so we do not know when the official stable version would be released. The software version here is V19A and it supports the following models of the LG G6; LGM-G600L, LGM-G600S, LGM-G600K, LGM-G600LR, LGM-G600SR, LGM-G600KR, LGM-G600LP, LGM-G600SP, and LGM-G600KP.
We expect a larger scale rollout of the beta happen in the next few days and a stable release in the next month. The LG G6 was released earlier this year and is the company’s flagship phone in the G series.
